Ten Reasons Why Aegis offers the Best Cincinnati Security System

Aegis is the finest security system provider in the Greater Cincinnati area, but the proof is in the pudding. Every customer who works with Aegis knows that they stand for quality and value in Cincinnati security systems. Here are ten reasons why Aegis is the best way to secure offices and commercial buildings.

1. The Price

The low cost of working with Aegis prevents a business from straining to have their security needs met. Aegis has competitive prices for monitoring and security installation.

2. The System

Every security system installed by Aegis is state-of-the-art. Aegis does not use anything but the most advanced technology in its security systems. This allows for businesses to maximize their security without sacrificing convenience.

3. The Custom Security Solution

Every facility is different which is why we custom design each security solution. Aegis systems are designed to meet the particular needs of the facility and client. Instead of simply using the same thing that is used in every other building, a custom system ensures that our clients security goals are met.

4. The Consultation

Along with a custom security installation, every business gets a free consultation to help them determine how to manage the security of their building. With a consultation, every customer will see what they need to do in order to keep their building secure.

5. Understanding Of The Area

Aegis understands what different parts of Cincinnati are like and what security measures must be taken in order to keep a building safe in that part of town. Because Aegis is a local business, they can give local businesses personalized service that national chains cannot offer.

6. Card Readers

Every business that wants to automate secure entry into a building can use card readers as part of an integrated access control system installed and maintained by Aegis. While these systems may seem like they are only for large corporations, any company can have card readers installed so allow only authorized personnel to enter their buildings.

7. Keypad Entry

Keypad entry systems are a wonderful way to allow only authorized people to enter certain parts of a building or even certain rooms. Aegis can install keypads wherever the business likes to help increase security.

8. Security Cameras

The security camera systems installed by Aegis can cover every inch of a building to ensure the safety of all the workers and products in the building. The feeds can be sent to one monitor at a security desk.

9. Monitoring

The monitoring services from Aegis are second-ton-none. Because many businesses have problems with their security after hours, the monitoring center at Aegis is able to contact the authorities whenever there is a security breach. Business owners do not have to scramble police and fire units because the Aegis service center does that for them.

10. Customer Service

Aegis offers the best customer service in the industry. When customers have questions or concerns, they will be met with friendly and knowledgeable customer service associates.

IT’S NOT YOUR FATHER’S CINCINNATI…

CINCINNATI SECURITY

I was born and raised in Cincinnati. I have always considered Cincinnati a relatively safe place; a good place to raise a family, do business.  I still think this is the case, but, alas, that thought is relative.  Compared to other large cities, Cincinnati is relatively safe.  But the bar has moved. Things were different in the fifties and sixties.  In the late fifties, Life Magazine had a front page article on the Cincinnati Police Department.  The CPD Chief of Police, Stan Schrotel, was considered the best – or one of the best – police chiefs in the country.  We were very comfy and somewhat smug about our “safe” city.

Not any more.  Like most other cities in America (the world?), Cincinnati struggles with increasing crime, and shrinking resources to deal with crime.  Changes in mores, the drug problem, and on and on, the causes are legion.  Loses in revenue –especially since the housing collapse – have left cities across the country trying to do more with less.

PRIVATE SECURITY

What is the role of private security in all of this?  The truth is that the private sector is left more and more to seeing to its own protection.  I’ve spent many years in the contract security business.  Our take on the police has always been that they are reactionary.  Cops view private security officers as rent-a-cops or cop wanna-bes.  Neither view is fair nor entirely correct.  Most cops are hard-working, dedicated professionals who are just overwhelmed by the sheer volume of crime.  A police cruiser prowling a neighborhood is a great deterrent, but that is a thing of the past.  Likewise, private security officers are dedicated to their craft, and work long hours – often under adverse conditions – for a fraction of the pay of police.

Private security looks upon its mission as crime prevention.  “Prevention, not apprehension” is our mantra.  We at Aegis Protective Services work very hard with our clients to develop system and policies that will prevent crime on their premises.  Generally, these measures are not foolproof.  This is due in part to the need for our clients to be able to conduct their businesses efficiently and profitably.  The trick is to strike a happy balance between the need for security and a companies need to be able to operate efficiently and profitably.

OUR SECURITY SOLUTION

At Aegis, we feel that our expertise in both uniformed and electronic security offers our clients the best of both worlds.  Years ago, we saw that the future of security was going to be an combined solution of uniformed security officers and electronic security systems.  In some applications, each would stand on its own. But in many situations, the best result is obtained by integrating electronic security with uniformed security officers.  Our expertise in security systems enables us to design systems that meet client needs efficiently and economically.  Further, that expertise enables us to train officers in the operation of these systems.  Too often, electronic security providers don’t fully understand the system(s) they market and install.  The result is a system that either does not provide features that would enhance a client’s security posture, or is overloaded with costly features that will never be used.  Generally, the uniformed security provider knows less about the systems in the facility.  The result is minimum benefit to the overall security posture.  Our expertise enables us to optimize the system to the facility, and to insure that our on-site personal have the ability to utilize such systems to maximum advantage.

So, as our name implies, Aegis provides complete protection scalable to the individual needs of our clients.

There’s a New Game in Town

Yes, the Bucks will still play football on the banks of the Olentangy.  Let’s hope that never changes. We’re talking physical security services.  Aegis Protective Services – after twenty years of providing unparalleled security services in Cincinnati – is now open for business in Columbus.  Offering both electronic security and uniformed security services, Aegis brings its wealth of expertise in both areas of security to the Columbus market.

Since 1993, Aegis has been providing uniformed security services to some of the most prestigious addresses in Cincinnati.  In 2003, we recognized the need for an electronic security provider who understood the ever more sophisticated, computer driven electronic security systems that were available on the market. To that end, we employed electronic security professionals possessing not only a knowledge of the operation and maintenance of electronic security hardware, but – perhaps more importantly – the “head end” (computer) that makes the whole system work.

We can provide uniformed security services or electronic security systems separately.  Or we can provide both services integrated to provide the maximum benefit of both.  Our expertise allows us to design and install electronic systems that meet our client’s security needs effectively and economically.  This combined with our understanding of uniformed security services allows us to integrate both of these services to provide a superior level of physical security to our clients.

As a company, Aegis is small enough to maintain that “personal touch” with our clients while having the size to be able to respond to any of our client’s security needs.  As they say, “you are known by the company you keep”.  .

We hope to be able to spend some time with you to discuss our services and how they will benefit your institution.  We hope to be contacting you soon.  Please read more about our Columbus security offering here
